RELOCATING TO UK THROUGH POSTGRADUATE STUDY.

1) For self assessment, the following combinations of qualifications will be considered for
Admission into Masters programs in UK:
i) Bachelors Degree- First Class, Second Class Upper or 2nd Class Lower in a relevant field
of study
ii) Bachelors Degree- Third Class plus a Pre-Masters or PGD in a relevant field. Your PGD
or Pre-Masters grade average must be at least 60%
iii) HND, Distinction to lower Credit plus a PGD or Pre-Masters in a relevant field. Your
PGD or Pre-Masters grade average must be at least 60%
iv) If HND (Distinction to Lower Credit) is your highest qualification, you will be required to
begin with extra 2 semester Pre-Masters before joining any of the Masters program in a
related field.
2a) Admission requirements: An academic reference letter, a reference letter from recent
employer, recent employment letter will be required when you are submitting your
documents for admission application.
b) Either WAEC or NECO English is accepted for English Language proficiency, minimum
of C6 is required. Those without a credit pass in English would be encouraged to sit for any
of the recommended international English Language Proficiency Tests, for example, TOEFL,
IELTS, PTE, Duolingo etc
c) A strong statement of purpose is needed for Admission and study visa consideration; we
will guide you through this.
d) A soft copy of University or Diploma Transcripts is Compulsory for the admission
process.
e) A soft copy of the Data page of the student’s international passport.
3) Visa Approval rates: From very recent statistics, the Visa approval rate for UK is 95% for
all legitimate applications. You are most likely to get the visa if you can demonstrate the
required proof of funds.
4) Tuition Fees: The average tuition fee for international students in the UK is about
£14,500. Engineering and Medical courses have way higher tuition fees. Please note that
most UK Universities now require the payment of 50% of tuition fees before enrolment.
